Gwyneth's Green Juice

Please forgive me if this is the 1,000th green juice you have seen. I've seen tons myself, but this is the first green juice I have ever made (as opposed to a green smoothie) and it is SO good and easy to make that I just had to share it. This juice is from Gwyneth Paltrow's new cookbook, "It's All Good." I personally couldn't think of a better way to describe this drink. It's full of calcium and antioxidants, it tastes like lemonade (no joke) and no juicer is needed! YAY! I made this in my Vitamix I'm pretty sure it turned out the same as if I would have used a juicer. Gwyneth's recipe included a sprig of mint, but I didn't have any on hand when made the juice. It still turned out great!

To make the juice with a juicer, simply push all of the ingredients through a juicer.

If you don't have a juicer, blend the ingredients up in a blender with 1/2 cup of water. Pass the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer.

Drink immediately as it gets bitter as it sits. Your taste buds and your body will thank you!

On My Reader...

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Well, it rained here 90% of the weekend, so I spent most of my weekend at home reading on the couch with my curled up cat nearby. That may sound boring to some, but with my busy past and upcoming schedule, it was heaven to me. The weather made it almost impossible for me to take good photos this weekend, so instead of doing my regular Weekend In Pics posts, I thought I would share my latest reads with you...

Vegetable Literacy: I saw this book a few weeks ago in Anthropologie and fell in love with it. Most vegetables will be at their finest over the next few months, so the timing of this book is perfect. It includes tons of sweet and savory recipes that involve a myriad of vegetables. All of that is great, but I was sold on glamour shots of the vegetables throughout the book. They are quite gorgeous...

Lunch In Paris: This is on my to-read list. Paris. A love story. French food. Sold.

What Alice Forgot: This is the book I was immersed in over the weekend. It's about a woman who passes out after she falls off her bike during her spinning class. When she comes to, she thinks she is a 29-year old pregnant newlywed whose husband adores her. The truth is that she is in the midst of a divorce, has three kids and is almost 40. Good stuff...

Souper Jenny Does Salads: Jennifer Levison is the owner of Souper Jenny, a local restaurant here in Atlanta.  I could eat there every day! The menu consists of soups, salads and sandwiches, all of which are made fresh each day. I've never had anything there that I didn't absolutely love. Jennifer actually took my order the other day and I didn't realize it was her until I saw this cookbook at the register. I slightly screamed, "Was that Jenny??!!" Her food is amazing, so it was a celebrity moment for me.

The Design Cookbook: This is another book that had me at the stunning images. Designer Kelly Edwards shares ways to define and achieve your personal style, 5-minute decorating tips, setting a budget and ways to decorate each type of room in your home. A space by designer Dayka Robinson, who I credit to me starting a blog, is featured in this book. So it's a special book to me...

Where We Belong: I heart Emily Giffin's books, so I can't wait to read this one. This one is about a woman who is living the good life as a producer in NYC. Her perfect life takes a turn when an eighteen year-old girl knocks on her door. Life isn't so perfect after that... Or is it?? I look forward to finding out!

What are you currently reading? Anything good I should know about??

A Champagne Picnic + Links...

Hi there! I hope you had a splendid week! My week was quite productive, so I am welcoming this weekend with open arms. What are you up to this weekend? I wish I could say I plan to spend hours sipping on champagne and lounging on the blanket in the photo, but instead I will be attending my first Pilates class in over two months (Lord help me), running errands, preparing for Mother's Day and testing a recipe or two. Watching Silver Linings Playbook is also on my to-do list. Is it any good?? Let me know!

Here are some good links for ya! Happy weekend!

Office Envy: Moth Design

I have a FABULOUS office to show you today. This is the office of the lovely Erica Cook of Moth Design. I had the pleasure of meeting her last year and she is one of sweetest most talented people I have ever met. She is super fashionable, too! Her gorgeous office was photographed a few years ago by Tracey Ayton, who is one of my most favorite photographers. I love the details of the office, the touches of bright colors and the impeccable styling. I think Tracey captured Erica's personality and talent quite perfectly.

Lovely right?? You can see more of Erica's work here and Tracey's work here...

Three Margarita Mixes For May 5th!

Hibiscus Margarita | Spicy Margarita | Blackberry Margarita

Cinco De Mayo is right around the corner, so Mexican food has certainly been on my mind. It is, quite frankly, my favorite type of food. I love the salty chips, fresh chunky guacamole, seasoned grilled chicken and vegetables wrapped in soft, warm tortillas with cheese, jalepeños, sour cream and salsa on the side - oh so good. I also love margaritas on the rocks, different margaritas that is. Classic margaritas are good, but they are so easy and quick to make that it's easy to experiment a little with different flavors and ingredients. These are a just a few delicious-looking options I think... Do you have a favorite tasty, yet non-traditional margarita??

Inspired By...

A little gray today... So, so pretty and sophisticated right??

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I spent the weekend spending WAY too much time and money in Target and Home Depot, making THE most delicious recipe for an upcoming guest post, watching It's Complicated for the 100th time (I'll never tire of seeing that house) and Scandal (oh 752...), getting over two migraines, indulging in this gelato, and napping during a long rain shower on Sunday. Needless to say I didn't make it to see this movie, but other than the migraines, I can't really complain about the last two days...

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, too... :)

An Airy Entry + Links

Hello there! How was your week? I have to admit that I found it incredibly hard to get motivated to do anything super serious this week. Spring is in full swing here in Atlanta and the weather was really beautiful most of the week. All I wanted to do was relax and enjoy it! What are your plans for the weekend? I'm going to have dinner with some friends and work on decorating my powder room. This mirror (in antique bronze) was just delivered, so I think I'm off to a good start! More details on that later... I also hope to catch this movie this weekend. Robert de Niro, Kathryn Heigl, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon - the movie HAS to be good!

I hope you have a great weekend! Here are some good links for ya...

I love her blog. I adore her cozy home, too.
