A MINI HOME TOUR: CASA COLDIRON

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend! My weekend was quite perfect thank you very much! I ran a few errands, took a little nap during and a Saturday afternoon rain shower (the best!), and baked the most PERFECT holiday cookies! I'll tell you about those tomorrow... But what I did on Sunday was what I wanted to tell you about today. I spent the day with my good friend and photographer, Paula Coldiron of Two Ellie. I promise she's one of the sweetest people I've ever met and I just love hanging out with her. She and I worked on a really fun and exciting collaboration in her dining room (see below!) that I will be sharing with you soon. Can't wait! Speaking of her home, I gotta show some of it to you. She recently moved into a 1930s bungalow that needed lots of love. This was my first time seeing it in person and well - there is a whole lot of love there. The decor in the home creates a lot of warmth and I immediately felt that as soon as I walked in. The home is very personable, comfortable, full of character and charm-  and it just makes you feel very welcome. Paula affectionately refers to the home as "Casa Coldiron, " so I thought I would share a few photos that I took (along with some of her photos) of her home during our little breaks... You can see much more (including the amazing before and afters) on her blog!

Alright friends... I feel like I'm a little late to the game with gift guide via the blog thing, so I apologize if you've had your fill of them already! I posted my big gift guide here a few weeks ago, but I wanted to post a few (just a few!) special guides for you here on the blog. It's no secret that I'm a lover of all things neutral, so I thought I would do a little guide of pretty little neutral things that would be soft on your eyes. Of all the things here, you might be surprised to know that the water bottle is my favorite - only because I actually have it. :) One of my fabulous friends gave it to me for my birthday and it is AWESOME. I'm a big water drinker who really prefers to drink it in non-plastic bottles. This bottle is BPA free, really light, and keeps water cold for 24 hours and hot beverages hot for 12 hours. Love it. Other than that, I wouldn't mind if Santa brought me the dutch oven (love the color) or the cookbook - or one of everything else you see there... :)

SHOP TALK: WAITING ON MARTHA HOLIDAY POP UP SHOP...

So one of my favorite things about blogging is meeting other women who work hard, master their craft, are inspiring, and truly go after the things they really want. Mandy of Waiting on Martha is one of those women. I've had the pleasure of getting to know her over the past year or so an she truly inspires me. She is an amazing stylist, curator, networker, designer, cook- the girl does it all. I don't know how she does it all - and all so very well. I tell her that every time I see her!

Mandy has a fabulous online shop where she curates everything from home decor to cookbooks to jewelry to paper goods. She also currently has a pop up shop here in Atlanta at Shops Around Lenox where she is selling all of the things from her online shop - plus more! I stopped by the shop over the weekend so I could see it and it did not disappoint! It is really beautiful. She has styled the shop in a way that makes you just want look at and buy every single thing. I couldn't buy everything, but I did scoop up this cute little spoon rest for my kitchen, this tray for my new bar cart (more on that later!) and this little trinket bowl for my dainty jewelry. I also picked up some personable little gifts for some friends. Loved it. These are some photos I took during my visit so you can see for yourself! If you see something you like, Mandy is offering all of my readers 15% off everything through Monday of next week!! Just use code SAVOR15 at checkout!!! Keep scrolling for links to some of the products in the photos + some of my favorite items!

WEEK IN SIX PICS...

{The traditional pound cake that has been requested by my family for the last four Thanksgivings. I swear it never disappoints... }

Well hello there! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! How was it? I feel well fed, well rested, and just... well - and it feels quite wonderful. I spent some good quality time with my family and I think I went to bed every night last week by 10PM. It's been an exhausting few months - well year really - so a long stretch of good sleep was so appreciated! And speaking of well-fed, I've spent the last two days loading up on fresh juices and fresh vegetables to compensate for the loads of amazing food I had last week. Overall we had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner complete with my pound cakemacaroni and cheese and lots of other things that consisted of lots of butter. So so so good... I ended my week by putting up most of my Christmas decorations (I'm so excited!) and getting in one last night of good sleep. It's back to reality, but only 3 or so weeks until Christmas!! Happy Monday!

{The freshly shredded cheese that went into this macaroni & cheese that I made. My family scarfs it down every year! Note that I do add a little extra cheese and a full teaspoon of seasoning salt instead of just 1/4 teaspoon. It needs the extra...}

{My little (big & tall) brother looking through the Black Friday ads. We had so much fun together last week... }

{Berry trees in my mom's garden that I am using for decorations in my home and for some upcoming posts... }

{My Black Friday purchase - the MOST comfortable buffalo check pajama pants (30% off today!) that I wore during yesterday's morning lounge session... And my sweet brother that you just saw also gave me my latest cookbook "Against All Grain," which is going to be useful in helping me eat clean during these weeks leading up to Christmas... }

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Well, I planned to at least have a few posts lined up for you this week, but my body had other plans over the weekend. I got this crazy virus that pinned me down for a few days - and totally wiped out my appetite. Perfect timing huh?? I'm a little better today, but I'm taking the virus as a bit of a sign. I'm going to take this week off from blogging, slow down, and really relish the time I'm going to have with my family. It's only the second time this year I've seen them all together, so I really want to enjoy it! And fingers crossed my appetite comes all the way back!! Anyway, I'm sure I'll be posting pics on Instagram from time-to-time, though. If you are celebrating Thanksgiving, I hope you eat really well, drink lots (water is fine, too!) and laugh a whole, whole, lot. xo, Tiff

A SIMPLE ENTRY + LINKS...

Today is a GREAT day. Not because it's Friday - even though that is a wonderful thing. Today is the official start of my Thanksgiving. Today is the start of a week of doing nothing but relaxing, cooking, eating, laughing, napping, reading, and spending time with family. I'm so excited. I'm going to start it off with a weekend that consists of attending a fun holiday decorating & entertaining workshop (more on that later), putting up a few Christmas decorations, getting a head start on grocery shopping, and getting in a pre-Thanksgiving workout. Did I mention that I was excited?? Ha. Anyway, have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the links!

You guys LOVE your family!! Family has been the most popular answer to the question on Monday's Minted giveaway. The giveaway ends tonight at midnight, so be sure to stop by!

There are lots and lots of good gift guides out there, but this one was done with some serious love. It's by far my favorite one yet...

Speaking of gift guides, I've added a few more items to my little guide...

An all-inclusive guide to Thanksgiving etiquette - including Thursday's football schedule.

Sorry Mom, but I'm eloping in Paris when the time comes. So simple and so pretty...

In case you are already making plans for leftover turkey. Yum...

Sweet potatoes never looked SO DARN GOOD!

Philip Lim's studio matches his products... Beautiful.

Just good to know...

ONE STOP SHOP: HOLIDAY PARTY ATTIRE...

{One can't go wrong with this red, simple, classic, structured fit & flare. Love it. It comes in navy, too... }

I only have a few holiday gatherings penciled in this year - most of which are going to be casual. However, that hasn't stopped me from admiring this holiday attire, which all happens to be all in one place - Anthropologie. Is it me or have they really stepped up their holiday attire this year?? I feel like every time I log into Pinterest, I see a few of their dresses that others have pinned. I recently took a look around their holiday attire page to see what was going on, and I loved what I saw! Here are a few of my faves that I think would be perfect for the holidays or for any fun party during the year for that matter...

{Sheath dresses are my second favorite to fit & flares. They can be sexy without being too much. I adore this one...}

{I'd wear this gold sequined dress to a lovely New Year's Eve dinner in a heartbeat...}

{ I have yet to find a jumper that fits me properly, but I am DYING to try this one on! Perfection.}

{I think this tank with a good pair of dressy black pants- or cropped pants - a jacket, and a great pair of heels would be fabulous...}
