BIRTHDAY WEEKEND IN FIVE PICS...

{The Cirque du Soleil show! I want to see it again! }

Hi there! How was your weekend? My weekend couldn't have been better. I took a little unplanned break from the blog and from everything else on Friday to start celebrating the start of my 35th year of life - which officially starts today!! I am honestly quite excited. My 20s were ok - I know I learned a lot. But my 30s have been exponentially better!! I really feel like finally I'm coming into myself. I'm much more comfortable in my skin. I'm learning who I am in this classroom of life - and I'm showing up and paying much more attention now in my 30s than I did in my 20s. Based on that, things can only continue to get better from here...

I started celebrating all of that last Thursday night by attending Amaluna - the Cirque du Soleil show that is currently here in Atlanta. It was SO GOOD! My nerves were shot by the end, but it was well worth it. The show is here through November 30th, so get tickets if you are in need of a fun night out! One thing I've learned in my 30s is that the smaller the diameter of my circle of close friends, the better. I had the BEST birthday dinner with those friends on Saturday night at STK Atlanta. Gosh, I am still thinking of the food. That is some of the BEST food I have ever had. I highly recommend it... On Sunday, I napped, made a killer recipe that I'll share with you tomorrow, and made the super healthy and delicious 15 minute soup in this post or the first time- a soup that I know for SURE I'll make again! Super good. Cheers to 35!!

{Birthday dinner outfit: Leather dress: Zara (LOVE this dress!) | Sandals: J.Crew (on sale!) | Clutch: Clare Vivier | Earrings: Kate Spade | Watch: Michael Kors | Nails: Essie "Wicked"

{My excitement at dinner when the waiter brought me a little cake with an exploding little firework on the side. Can you tell my friend was a bit taken?? :) }

{Oh and another gem of a restaurant I visited before the Cirque show... This is Bar Taco - the BEST little tapas bar I've been to. I obviously love the decor, but the little 3-biter fish and chicken tacos I had were so incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend it, too! }
