Weekend In Five Pics

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? My weekend was quite a good one. It started off with rain, something I have a new appreciation for. Water droplets on a leaf have much more meaning these days...

On Friday night, I went to the 10th anniversary celebration at my Pilates studio. That is my Pilates instructor you see there with her leg saying hello to the ceiling. She is such an inspiration to me and why I feel 100% better than I did before I started Pilates. My posture has been corrected and my tummy is much flatter! I highly recommend it!

Did you know that mini bundts are like, in? I got that lemon-flavored one from Nothing Bundt Cakes here in Atlanta and they are AMAZING. You must stop by if they have a location in your area. Cupcakes are definitely now second place in my life...

My neighbor brought me some delicious swiss chard from her garden. I love the colors of those stems... I cooked it and ate it for dinner while I read Emily's new book. Emily is also an incredible inspiration to me. Her creativity and success inspire me to be better on days when I feel like my blog is just not good enough and on days when I just want to quit blogging all together. I have days like that- many days in a row sometimes. But she kept going and now look at her! The book is easy to read and full of great ideas and beautiful images. Loved it.

Oh and game night was fun and the dessert... fabulous. I will share it with you tomorrow!

  11. Oh baby bundt cake, why do you have to be so tempting?? I also love pilates, but found that yoga is more my style. I agree that it can be transforming!

  12. Pilates has saved my life as well. Had back surgery 4 years ago and regret waiting a year before starting the classes 3 years ago. I'm not sure I would be walking straight today if I hadn't started when I did. I can identify with your reservations some days regarding blogging. I feel the same way, but just know I look forward to seeing Savor Home in my mailbox - so keep it up.

  16. What a great weekend! I love yoga and pilates and REALLY need to get back into them. What a sweet neighbor you have! Seems like most neighbors don't like to even talk in general. And that book! Sounds like something worth owning. Your blog is beautiful, so I'm glad you're encouraged not to give up.
