Weekend In Five Pics

A pic I took in NYC... I ordered a print of it for my new entry wall | My view at the farmers market | The BEST red velvet cupcake made by Paula Deen's cousin | Fresh Georgia peaches for tomorrow's recipe | My new kitchen sink and faucet

What's up? I hope you had a good weekend! It was five trillion degrees here, so I honestly spent most of the weekend indoors. Hours spent cleaning my floors in Murphy's Oil (love how it smells) and organizing called for a few good naps, trash TV ( those Real Housewives are so crazy- all of them! ) and a little morning baking. I made my first homemade pie crust and let's just say I'm glad it was supposed to look "rustic."

Anyway, there are two things I'm a bit excited about. One: I LOVE my new sink and faucet. It's 10,000 times better than what I had. I'm so thankful! That was the only change I made to my kitchen and the whole space feels new. I love when a quick change makes a big difference. Two: Last week, I met Johnnie Gabriel, Paula Deen's cousin. She owns a fabulous little bakery here in town. She is known for her red velvet cupcakes and well, I'm still thinking about that cupcake. It was delicious and she was such a sweetheart! Stop by if you are ever in Atlanta!

  1. These are some of the best ways to spend a weekend at home! We had some crazy heat (and storms) here too. I didn't mind those few good naps though!
