Be My Guest...

So as you may know, I have repainted my house and am redecorating some of the rooms. I was working on my guest bedroom this week and realized that I would like to add a few more things. It doesn't look quite as gorgeous as the room above, but it has a bed, crisp bedding and good sheets (a must), but it still needs a few more personal touches. My idea of a great guest room is one that makes a guest feel like that are at a really nice hotel. I like for them to feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. So I did a little round-up of of some things that would be in the perfect guest room...

Cococozy Linen & Lavendar Sachet | Williams Sonoma Chambers Towel Set | Serena & Lily Matelasse Robe | Container Store Basic Walnut Wood Hangers | Target Bell Alarm Clock | Bed Bath & Beyond Luggage Rack | Rifle Paper Co Watercolor Notecard | Tse & Tse Cloudy Water Carafe | Philosophy Grace Hand Wash & Lotion Set

All of these are really just small details that could make a big difference to the room and also in the minds of your guest. I love the idea of putting a little note on the nightstand welcoming them and thanking them for visiting. And what guest wouldn't love nice thick towels, a robe, fresh flowers and a stack of good mags?

Note that you don't have to spend a ton of money on a room that will only be used by guests. The items above are really just to help you get ideas, but you can find similar items at places like HomeGoods, Target or TJMaxx!

Is your guest room ready for guests??

  1. My guest room is ready - it's already gotten quite a workout since we moved in just a few short months ago! It doesn't look as good as the RH one but it is comfy and welcoming. I love your choices thought and I agree there are a lot of affordable sources out there to add beautiful touches like you chose. :)

  5. This post came at a good time as we have some guests coming next week to stay with us for a few days. I just love to make it extra special for my guests when they come over. Makes me think maybe I should run a bed & breakfast ...... only problem is that I don't cook :-) That's why your blog is so inspiring to me. Have a good Thursday Tiffany!!
